Landing a Lothario

She's BACK ladies and gentlemen! Holly Wood has returned to the 100 Baby Challenge scene, ready for round two!

I'd previously started a 100 BC in TS3 called Outta the Wood Work staring this lovely lady here, and I even got to 50/100 of the babies before my game became too glitched/corrupted to play anymore. I was quite disheartened.

But now TS4 has arrived and I say it's time to give things another go! Holly agrees with me too, dontcha Holly?

HOLLY - Yep.

You better watch that enthusiasm ma'am, you might hurt yourself. -_-

If you're interested in my rules, feel free to check out the About tab. Otherwise let's jump right into it, shall we? Our baby-mama is, as I said before, the lovely Holly Wood. She's a Romantic, Outgoing, Family Oriented sim who has the aspiration of a Big Happy Family.

As you might have guessed from the desert-y background, she's been moved onto the 50x50 lot of Oasis Springs. I gave her a pre-made home, as seen below. Its called Magnitude, and was built by the awesomely talented 'The Sims Supply,' (Origin ID Flabaliki) with some heavy modifications to suit a 100BC house. As per my own rules, Holly is given 10,000 simoleons to start (which soon whittled down to 7k as I kept remembering things I'd forgotten to buy beforehand). When each child reaches maturity, she'll receive an extra 5,000 simoleons into her account for a job well done.

With that thought in mind, Holly is quick to whip out her phone and dial herself into travel mode. We've got baby-daddies to find!

I had someone specific in mind for our first. Given his traits, I thought it would be a good bet that we'd find him in Willow Creek's gym, so that's where Holly went.

And sure enough, as if fated, we found Don Lothario working out on a treadmill in the back.

I mean, c'mon. Who better than the legendary playboy to get this baby-challenge rolling?

His work-out clothes really don't do him any favors though. He looks like such a skuz-bucket. -_-

HOLLY - And you want me to woohoo with that? Really?

Beggers can't be choosers missy, GET TO SOCIALIZIN!

Because she is a puppet to my every whim, Holly did just that. Since she's Outgoing and they're both romantic, their relationship shot up pretty quick. Like . . . a few hours, quick.

At some point Holly decided to hop on the treadmill during their conversation.

DON - Hey look Holls! No hands!

HOLLY - Jolly good show, old sport!

Wait, when did you become an old British dood?

SELFIE TIME!

I installed a lighting mod and the atmospheres are MUCH better. I might need to tone down the settings just a smidge though, she's a little washed out in some of these pictures.

Since Holly and Don had become good friends in only a few hours of working out and chatting it up, I decided to start throwing in some flirts to see how it went.

HOLLY - Do u lyke me? Y/Y?

Unfortunately she doesn't have a high charisma skill yet . . . although if my TS3 challenge was any indication, charisma skill does not necessarily the suave mama make.

I reference the Gold Jellyfish as exhibit A. Those who read the first challenge will know what that means. :P

DON - Um, Holly? What are you--

HOLLY - I'm blowing you a kiss! TAKE IT AND LIKE IT!

DON - Oh! Well then, in that case . . . *giggle*

Yeah, Don had no problem accepting flirts. No problem AT ALL.

See? That is the face of a man who is totally on board with what Holly's throwing down.

She even gave him a rose. He liked it.

HOLLY - STOP!

DON - Wat?

HOLLY - In the naaame of loooove, before you breeaaaak my heaaaart.

Cheese, she has it.

But then she let loose the sexy hip wiggle and it was all over. Don also started stinking to high-heaven at this point, but we won't be thrown by such an insignificant thing.

See? Holly's flirtation waits for NO MAN'S stink cloud!

First Kiss! . . . even though it looks like she's kissing the air in front of his face and he just looks confused.

I think this might be a glitch with the animations? The first-kiss just doesn't seem to line up right, but the others are okay.

After that, Holly asked Don out on a date and he happily accepted. Where, you ask? Why, the home lot! (Because there are no options for public woohoo just yet . . .)

See? The regular kiss interaction works JUST FIIIIINE . . . . Don still looks a little freaked out, though.

Seriously guy? You can't be this inexperienced . . .

HOLLY - You, me, in bed. Nao.

DON - Whoa, whoa, okay! No need to get pushy . . .

HOLLY - YES! Nooboo time!

DON - Hehe yah! . . . wait, wut?

HOLLY - WOOHOO! I totally said woohoo.

DON - Oookaaaay . . . .

They quickly headed upstairs to her bawse bed . . . see? Without the dorky hat and glasses, he's actually quite cute. Holly, I see where those eyes are goin . . . .

Her first woohoo! On her very first day of existance! It's not even noon yet. *wipes away a tear* Makes a simmer proud . . . .

After the bed romping she immediately went to go take a pee-test. Probably cheating, but given the circumstances I didn't want to let Don loose if we needed to try again . . . .

Except NOPE! Holly proves her worth as a 100 BC baby-mama by succeeding fertilization on the very first try. The toilet-confetti says so.

And then she immediately got a baby-bump. Lolwut. I've heard tell that some sims can take the pregnancy test and still not really show in their first trimester, but so far all 3 of my sims that I've tried it with have immediately popped afterward.

Since they were still technically on a date, I went ahead and had Holly continue to socialize with Don even after his official part in this challenge was over. What self-respecting BC baby-mama wouldn't have at least one gold date badge under her belt?

They needed to dance together, so she lured him into the recreation room to do just that. A few seductive hip-sways later . . . .

HOLLY - So, guess what? When I went to the bathroom earlier, I found out I was pregnant. Yay, right?

DON - . . . wut. I know I didn't hear that right.

She had the option to Share the Big News. Don seemed pretty nonplussed.

HOLLY - I just told you I'm pregnant with your child, Don. The proper response is HAPPINESS.

DON - But what if I'm not happy?

HOLLY - I will stab your eyes out with a spoon.

DON - I am SO HAPPY right now!

Wow Holly. Kinda creepy . . .

She had so many happy mood boosters going on at once from first kiss, first woohoo, pregnant, etc that I seriously started to worry a little bit for her health. That's just what I need, my baby-mama dying to an emotional death on her very first day.

HOLLY - These tomatoes . . . make me so happy . . . .

Holly, you're creepin me out. Stahp.

Don took a moment to bust out some push-ups while Holly made dinner. Really? And in the bathroom, no less.

HOLLY - Were you just doing push-ups in my bathroom?

DON - . . . no?

HOLLY - Lying makes it worse.

DON - Suddenly this isn't as fun anymore . . . .

Except not really, they were both ridiculously hyped and flirty. The expressions here are a lie.

HOLLY - This is the best salad ever. . . . EVER.

DON - Just drink your milk. No sudden moves.

In the end, Don would rather drink up all of her milk and OJ than partake in a bowl of salad. Holly didn't mind though, more for her.

HOLLY - Mm! Smells divine!

DON - Whatever you say.

Aww, he's learning!

HOLLY - I am so happy right now . . .

You look like you're so HIGH right now. I'd blame bubbles but we don't have a bubble machine yet in TS4.

Seriously though. Biggest derp face of all time.

All in all it was a very successful date. Holly nabbed a gold medal (as if there were ever any doubt?) and this ice-bucket and wine thingy that gives off a flirty aura if so desired.

After sending Don home, I immediately sent Holly into the bathroom to try and calm herself down. No emotion-deaths in this house!

Then she got parked in front of the cooking channel for the rest of the afternoon.

A few hours later, and this happens. Seriously Don? You couldn't even go 24 hours without another Holly fix?

DON - I can't help it. She's like a drug . . .

Yah, LSD maybe.

I checked the mean interactions and there wasn't an option to Just Be Friends like in TS3. Instead there was a 'Give the Cold Shoulder,' so I had her do that. We need to set the ground rules early, after all. After your donation is done, that's that.

And then, I noticed THIS option pop up. O_O

Wow Holly. Just . . . wow.

Despite the hilarity, I had her send him on his way.

HOLLY - Listen Don, we talked about this!

DON - Actually, we never really talked at all--

HOLLY - I'm a 100BC mama, I can't be tied down. At least not for another 99 or so births. So you're just going to have to go ahead and leave.

DON - Wait, what? Did you just say NINETY NINE births?

HOLLY - Please Don, don't do this to yourself. There's no need to make a scene. Just go ahead on home, now. I'm sure you'll find someone else eventually.

DON - I actually already have someone else, her name is Katrina . . .

HOLLY - You and me were just not meant to be.

Don went home eventually. And Holly got woken up in the middle of the night by the preggers bladder. Her pouty face is SO CUTE.

The next morning she made herself some eggs and toast, and the baby-bump is a little more pronounced.

Here she is . . . trying to scrape what's left of her eggs off the pan. Way to fail it up, Holls.

HOLLY - Don't be fooled by this laid back smile, I will cut you.

Luring in baby-daddies takes skill and finesse. Charisma skill to be precise, so I bought her some books on the subject and she gets to reading. Gotta pass the incubation days somehow, and working on skills was always my go-to in TS3.

Then she randomly became flirty for no good reason at all.

HOLLY - Why, is that for me? Really? *giggle* You shouldn't have!

She's practicing her moves . . . I think? I hope. Otherwise it's auditory hallucinations and that's never a good sign.

More charisma-skill-building, and a slowly developing baby bump! Her boobs have also gotten a bit bigger as well. I like that they do so in TS4, nice dash of realism.

I found a little magic 8-ball like object in the hobbies and skills section. I had her go ahead and ask it a question. What happened next . . . .

HOLLY - WHAT?! Are you KIDDING ME?! There's no way in BRIDGEPORT that that's gonna happen!

*begins shaking cube violently*

HOLLY - You better change your tune real quick you piece of crap or I'm throwing you down the first slimy well I come across!

CUBE - That was fun! Let's try it again some time.

Wat?

HOLLY - Meh. C'est la vie.

WAT?!

But those faces, tho. I died.

Not wanting her to fall prey to the post-pregger-flab, I had her do some treadmill workouts. And EWW PREGNANT BELLY ABS! I made the mistake of having her dig up a few rocks and this is what I get.

I really hope they fix this in a patch, she literally dug up maybe 4 of them and suddenly was maxed in the muscle department.

Since she doesn't have any kids yet it was safe to use the cas.fulleditmode cheat to fix it this time. Use caution using it in a household with more than one sim though, it can bork up the relationships.

After her work out I sent her outside and guess who was waiting outside?

Really Don? You're desperation's starting to show a bit, buddy.

HOLLY - He totally wants me.

DON - And I don't know why!!!

It's the siren's call of the BC baby-mama, my friend.

Holly had a garden to get started, however. This BC file will also be a chance for me to try out all the different skills and possibly earn many of the achievements in the game, since Holly's going to be around for quite a while.

I definitely plan on making her The Most Interesting Sim In The World.

Somewhere between planting and watering she changed out of her work-out clothes and back into her everyday wear.

She didn't quite finish with the task though before an orange-nearly-red energy bar sent her to the bedroom for sleep.

HOLLY - *zombie noises*

The next morning her aching back was making itself known. Three sims I've gotten pregnant in-game so far, and not one of them has actually had morning sickness. I've seen others get it though, so I know it's a thing.

Holly lucked out this time, but I'm sure there's prayers to the porcelain gods in her future.

All this time spent at home waiting for the bundle of joy and Holly's social started getting pretty low. Downside of the Outgoing trait, it makes her social need decay faster than others.

Still, a plethora of passers-by outside her house insured she had a steady stream of people to entertain herself with.

HOLLY - Hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my tummy, feel it maybe?

RANDOM GUY - Uh, sure.

LAWL that was so corny, I can't even.

He happily accepted the offer to Feel Tummy though. Holly was very happy with it too.

Hip Bump! I think she was energized from a Brisk Shower, and she had a whim. I aim to please.

And a hug to say goodbye. I actually really like this guy, he's pretty cute. If I don't get any simmer donations between now and the second donation, I think I'll use him. Maybe by then I'll remember his name . . . .

She's actually stretching out her sore back in this shot, but it totally looks like she's doing an ultra-b*tchy-snob pose.

THAT FACE.

I love it.

It's the middle of the night, must be pee-pee timez!

Also . . . those PJs really don't go with a super-pregnant sim . . . I should probably give her a second set of sleepwear to use while she's preggers lol.

This is only after a day of growth. O_O Plants grow fast in TS4 apparently. No fertilizers (she's not high enough in the skill) and the herbs were still harvestable by the third day.

I bought her a bonsai tree to play with to help work on the gardening skill, for a change of pace from reading skill books.

This would prove to be a mistake . . .

HOLLY - Hai Mr. Mailman! . . . what's with the face?

MAILMAN - Ma'am! Your hand! You . . . you have a pair of garden-shears sticking through them!

HOLLY - What this? This is just Pierre. He's my new bestie.

MAILMAN - I'm . . . just gonna back away slowly.

Sooo, yeah . . . I've gotten the glitch where a fork or some other object stays stuck to the sim's hand a few times so far. It usually goes away on its own after a few hours. But these garden shears . . . .

They stayed with her. Holly and Pierre could not be parted, not for anything. When she was fixing the busted toilet? He hovered near-by, offering helpful advice.

When she went into labor moments later? He poked his head in her abdomen and had a quick look around to make sure all was as it should be.

HOLLY - That . . . probably isn't a good thing.

No, no it's not . . . .

When she went to the hospital to give birth, Pierre was right there (spearing through her hand) every step of the way.

Apparently the friendly support paid off, as moments later Holly returned with the first baby of this challenge! The butterfly onesie means it's a girl. Everyone meet Buttercup Wood!

We'll go ahead and end things here. Will Holly ever get rid of her clingy first-timer Don? Or her overly-attached pruning utensils? Can she even manage to raise a child and not kill it or herself in the process?

Find out next time! Until then, happy simming!

CONCERNING DADDY DONATIONS!! - If you'd like to contribute to the Wood Family of Nooboos, by all means, Holly is always on the look-out for 'fresh meat.' In order to do so please leave a comment here or on the forum with your Origin ID and the name of the sim you'd like to submit. I would prefer that they be CC-free if possible.

  1. EEEEE!!!!

Ok, first of all, Holly is GORGEOUS. Looove her TS4 adaptation!

Second, I'm currently wiping tears away from my eyes from laughing probably a little too hard at the gardening shears bit. The whole hovering by the sink, offering advice thing? I died. I am writing to you as a ghost at the moment. A ghost with red, wet eyes who still can't stop laughing and is rather surprised I'm able to form words to comment on this.

Great start!! You will be pleased with Buttercup, I'm sure. Don makes cute kiddos!

I don't plan to do this anytime soon, but eventually I think I'm going to try to convert some of my stories to TS4 (I'm leaving my Vivienne O'Reilly 100 BC and my Andrie ISBI alone for the obvious reason that there are no supernaturals yet and the simple fact that I've come so far I'm just going to leave them alone.) But, one of the stories I plan to move over is my 10 Generations, 10 Kids Nickelodeon themed story - if/when that ever happens, I hope you don't mind if I use Holly again :) If that's a problem just let me know!

    1. Hahaha! I was eagerly waiting your reaction, I'm glad to know that I (and Holly) still got it. :P

The gardening shears . . . omg. I couldn't believe it when it was happening. Trust me I was laughing pretty darned hard over here too. Best part, Pierre's saga is not yet done. :P

That's part of the reason I chose Don, cause I saw in your challenge and a few others that he apparently makes good babies. :D

And EEEEEE!!! I would be SO happy to see Holly return in your Nickelodeon themed story! You have ALL my permissions. For reals. :D :D :D

  2. It's the middle of the night, why not start another story of yours?
Holly's great. At some point I'll have to read her ts3 story -- if you still have it up somewhere? I love when people re-make ts3 Sims into ts4 Sims (probably because I have an unhealthy obsession with Sims 4 graphics...), and vice versa (for the nostalgia, ya know).
As for stalker-Don, that's exactly how he was in an Alien legacy that I completely gave up on. He was baby daddy #1, my alien was noncommittal a'f, and Don turned into a stalker... >.< Oh, how the tables turn.
I laughed so hard at Pierre that my Mom came up to my room to make sure I was okay (it is the middle of the night, after all), and I had to pretend like I was sleep-laughing (not sure if that's a thing in real life, but it's in ts4, so it's worth a try......I mean, she left......). Pierre is win.

    1. Hahaha! Well, I'm glad you're enjoying them at least, even if I am sucking away all your free/productive time . . . I really love remaking older sims in TS4 too. :D

Don . . . Don, Don, Don. He pretends to be a lothario, but I think deep down he just wants to be wuvved.

      If you're interested in reading Holly's TS3 adventures (be warned, there's a LOT :P ) you can find it here : http://hollyouttawoodwork.blogspot.com/2012/03/hollys-introductions.html

There are also links there to my other 3 TS3 blogs/legacies . . . just in case you thought you were gonna have any other sort of free time available.
