Holly is cuddling her new addition . . . with the help of Pierre.
This is so not safe, nor is it anything close to proper child care. I'm just sayin.
HOLLY - Here Buttercup, Pierre wants to give you a nite-nite kiss too!
HOLLY GET THE SHARP OBJECTS AWAY FROM THE BABY OMFG!
So she goes downstairs and puts it in her mouth instead. -_-
HOLLY - You don't understand us. You're just garden-shear-ist.
That's not even a thing.
Another day, another Don Lothario visit. He seriously comes over at least once or twice a day. Having spent several days home alone, however, Holly was starting to feel a little 'Love Lorn' from lack of romantic interactions . . . .
So she took Pierre outside to say hi.
And offer up some freebie woohoo. As you can see, Don was quite excited by this turn of events. No baby-making, just a convenient outlet to get rid of her pent-up frustrations lol.
I also decided to break in the observatory while I was at it. One of my side-challenges in the TS3 version was having Holly explore all the possible woohoo spots. Sadly, the observatory isn't an option for Try For Baby for some reason. Perhaps this is a glitch or oversight? At any rate, I used this opportunity to get some good 'use' out of it at least.
Then Don was sent (happily) on his way.
A few moments later, this guy showed up. Sorry guy (Donovan? I can't remember . . .), but we got some simmer-made daddy donations so your services are no longer required.
MAYBE DONOVAN - Aw maaaan. Lame.
After reloading the game, Pierre finally took his leave, thankfully. Some of us were more happy about it than others.
HOLLY - Everyone leaves me eventually, Buttercup. You're the only one who really loves me.
Aww Holly . . . dem feels. :(
Quick, cue age-up segue to distract readers from the unintentionally depressing comment.
GO!
After two days in the bassinet, Buttercup successfully makes the transition to child. She has her daddy's everything, pretty much. Don's black hair, his green eyes and his darker skin-tone. I think her face-shape has a bit of her mama in it though, so overall a nice mix of genes.
She rolled the Cheerful trait, and I chose the Rambunctious Scamp childhood aspiration though I doubt very seriously we'll be able to complete it in time. I'll be very lucky if I can manage to get her an A in school before it's time to age up.
Unfortunately BC (that's her new nickname because I just realized typing out Buttercup every other sentence is a real trial) aged up super tired, so even though it's early in the morning she immediately had to lay down for a nap.
Larry the Llama keeps a weather eye out, though.
A few hours later, nap time was over.
BUTTERCUP - Thanks for watching over me, Larry! You're the best!
LARRY - All in a day's work, ma'am!
BC went into the nursery next and had some quality time with the large stuffed Unicorn. Named . . . Uni. Real original, there.
And then it was downstairs for a selfie with mom. SO CUTE!
And then she was tired again. Blech, I sent BC back into the child room for another nap, and then sent mama Holly out into the world. To a random house.
What could it be? The abode of the next baby-daddy?
Nope! Not just yet, anyway. Instead, Holly came to make the acquaintance of a fellow TS4 BC Baby-Mama who'd been freshly supplanted into Oasis Springs. Everyone say hi to Ashley O'Donnell's (Origin ID - Aniles06) Joanna Tredway! (You can find her awesome challenge right here )
These two like-minded ladies made very fast friends over the course of the next couple hours.
HOLLY - Be honest, Jo. Does this dress make my butt look big?
JOANNA - Holly if you were any skinnier or any prettier I would be honor-bound to run you over with our non-existent cars multiple times for the sake of all womanhood everywhere.
HOLLY - Aww, you say the nicest things!
Also, Joanna was totally playing Sims Forever. SIM-CEPTION!
Back home, Holly randomly got flirty again and decided she wanted to practice pick-up lines in the mirror. I had to lol when she started spritzing breath-spray in her mouth.
HOLLY - You can never be too careful! Never know when Mr. Hawtness might show up and need a tongue-to-tonsil exam.
I'll just . . . take your word for it.
Finally with a little bit of energy to spare, Buttercup went out to play on the monkey bars. She needs 2 skills at level 4 to get to a B grade, and the motor skill in particular for her aspiration. So we'll just go with that for now.
Aww, mama hugs! Seeing Holly interact with her babies always melts my heart. As goofy and qestionable as she can sometimes seem, Holly is a great mother at heart.
Kiss cheek interaction! I died from the cute.
Then Holly decided to give Buttercup some important Life Lessons.
HOLLY - . . . and that's why I called it the golden jellyfish (TS3 thought-bubble reference).
BUTTERCUP - I'm almost sure that I'm too young to be hearing this.
Yes, yes you are. -_- But Holly wouldn't be Holly if she wasn't scarring the minds of her children.
Most of that social spam was for her aspiration, as she needed at least 20 social interactions with her child to advance. Plus, Holly just loves her babies. Now she needs to read a book to BC for at least 3 hours.
HOLLY - Jack and Jill went up the hill, to fetch a pail of water . . . . really? That's kind've lame. You actually like this stuff?
BUTTERCUP - It's called 'age-appropriate,' mom.
Gone are the days of Holly trying to read her pregnancy books to her children. Let us all simultaneously breathe a sigh of relief.
They got at least one hour in that night before it was time for dinner. The girls ate in front of the TV, watching some Iron-Sim-Chef. (I love that show IRL. Bobby Flay is my hero. :P )
The next morning Holly was Love Lorn again, and decided to be cranky for the first time since she started this challenge.
HOLLY - I hate you!
Wut? What'd I do?!
HOLLY - You told me to make these eggs. And I HATE it!
You do not, stop lying.
HOLLY - *ridiculously violent stirring* HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE!
O_O
Holy crap. What's even more hilarious is after this stunt she got a confident mood from being 'doused' with cooking inspiration.
Just a shameless excuse to show off BC's pj's. I FRICKING LOVE the mismatched socks. All of my kids are probably going to have them. I'll just apologize for that right now.
After breakfast we had a surprise visitor stop by the house in the form of Joanna. Holly invited her inside, then proceeded to show off her muscles.
HOLLY - Check out these guns!
JOANNA - *gasp!*
HOLLY - Pretty tight, eh? Eh?
Joanna made her way into the dining room to chat with BC while she enjoyed herself a glass of milk. It's actually the weekend so she has 2 days to work on skills before her first day of school.
She got started on the Mental one by playing a game of chess with mom. Apparently Joanna was super-amused by that.
Then she decided to start busting some moves. Keeping it classy.
After Joanna went home, Holly got to fulfill a whim to help Buttercup with her homework since it magically appears in their inventory upon aging up.
HOLLY - I am the greatest mom of all time.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, plz.
Since Holly had some household chores to see to, Buttercup went out to the science table to continue with that Mental skill on her own.
Until THIS!
WHAT?!?!?! Apparently this can catch on fire! Not just singe your kid sim, but a straight-up-honest-to-goodness-I-can-totally-kill-your-sim fire!
Buttercup wisely GTFO'd back inside the house.
BUTTERCUP - I didn't do it!
HOLLY - Super-Mama senses tingling!
I have a sprinkler system indoors but that doesn't cover outside, apparently. So Holly proceeds to bust out a fire extinguisher and battle the blaze like a genuine BAD@SS.
HOLLY - See? Best. Mom. EVAR.
. . . ok, I'll give it to you.
The chem table was toast. I replaced it, but it will be quite a while before I'm ready to risk one of my babies by using it again.
HOLLY - And then it caught on FIRE! But luckily I had a fire-extinguisher in my magic pocket and I totes took care of it like a straight bawse.
JOANNA - OMP that sounds so hectic!
Yeah, Joanna is back. She's taken over Don's position as Daily Multiple Visitor. I'm thinking they might need to patch the frequency in which friends and neighbors drop by. I like that they do it, but not 2 and 3 times a day, EVERY day.
Holly liked Joanna though, so she didn't mind having her over so much. BC was in bed, so the ladies went out back to enjoy a nice game of cards.
Holly's poker face. It is fierce.
Didn't work though, Joanna totally won all their games lol.
What's this screen of multi-colored sim toddler/child blocks? (BTW EAxis, low blow, putting TS3 toddlers in there. Low blow.)
Turns out the Big Happy Family aspiration requires that you adopt a child. I figured here at the beginning in a mostly empty house would be the best time to do that.
Thus, we have this little cutie here. And Holly is excite.
I decided to name him Oleander Wood, Ollie for short. He has yellow-gold eyes (thanks to some CC eyes I recently DL'd), a sort of asian-look, the Outgoing trait and also has the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration.
Ollie won't count toward the challenge total of babies, but he's an official member of the family now nonetheless.
OLEANDER - Hello ladies.
I'm usually not a big fan of adoption in The Sims, but Ollie quickly won me over. He's pretty darned cute.
BUTTERCUP - THAR SHE BLOOOOOWS!
His new sister joined him out on the pirate ship for a time, both working on that Motor skill and their own budding friendship.
After a bit I sent Ollie out to go collect all the rocks that had been tormenting me the past few days. I don't know if the kids can build muscle-mass or not, and even if they do I wouldn't mind so much if he put on a six-pack.
In doing so I noticed that one of the entrances to Oasis Spring's secret lot was actually on the back-half of our neighborhood. Awesomeness! As soon as Holly reaches max Handiness she'll definitely be exploring that.
That evening, Joanna was back for her regular visits. Buttercup kidnapped her for a few games of chess.
Meanwhile Holly had a whim to start a Confident painting, so I let her.
And THIS is what she made!!!!
*dies from laughter*
I love the irony of drawing a lion to inspire confidence, as in the cowardly lion? Also, stick-figure-drawing-ftw.
When Buttercup got up to take care of some needs Jo probably thought she'd get away from the chess table. No such luck.
OLEANDER - Why hello there. I don't believe I've yet made your acquaintance. May I just say that the lighting in here does wonderful things for your eyes, they're stunning.
JOANNA - Oh my . . .
Six years old and he's already putting on the moves. I foresee much flirtation in this one's future . . . .
Holly did a flirty painting next. *still laughing*
You got the concept right, but they're supposed to be DOGS, not cats. Go re-watch Lady and the Tramp.
Part of their shared aspiration calls for BC and Ollie to spend 2 hours dancing. They decided to get their boogie on together.
Simultaneous jamming!
HOLLY - Ok Joanna, you're my bestie but I think it's time you head home.
JOANNA - But-but . . . why?!
HOLLY - Because you just pulled the trash out of my can and dumped it on the floor. And it's also 3am.
JOANNA - Oh, yeah, right. I suppose you have a point.
After Jo left, Holly took care of the trash herself even though she was dog-tired. Exhausted, but she's still grinning from ear to ear. This sim is seriously happy almost ALL the time.
Pee-pee walk! This will never get old.
Holly does her best to make breakfast in time for the kids to eat before the bus. While the little vultures hover near-by. True to life.
After they were off to their first day of school, Holly herself had some traveling to do. Where, you ask?
To the home of THIS good-looking fellow! This here is our first simmer-made daddy donation, Aiden Houska (made by Aniles06). I placed him in what will become a communal fomer-daddy-donator household since he's the first one. I haven't decided yet if future dads will get placed here or in Holly's own house to start.
I'd say put them here, but until she can get a hold of the Player bonus trait, having multiple former romantic interests all under one roof while she tries to schmooze a new one might get awkward real quick.
But that is a worry for the future. For now we have our next baby-daddy at hand and Holly is more than ready for round 2.
Several friendly interactions were had, though Aiden kept getting distracted by the TV. Holly . . . was not amused.
HOLLY - I do not have his undivided attention. This is not acceptable.
HOLLY - Lemme just shoot him with my brand-new cupid bow.
LOLWUT. She had 3,000 aspiration reward points and I had to decide if I'd rather get the Beguiling trait or the Fertility trait first. I finally decided on the former, and it gives you a new romantic interaction, 'Beguile.'
And I kid you not, she pulled out a little gold bow and shot a little heart-headed-arrow at him.
The arrow hit its mark and Aiden was instantly smitten. It immediately puts the other sim in a Very Flirty mood. This ought to make getting to the woohoo stage much less painful.
(Not that Holly's had much trouble in this department so far. Lookin at you, Don. You slut you.)
As I suspected, even with barely any friendship, Aiden accepted every flirtatious interaction Holly could drum up with no problem at all.
He was, as they say, putty in her magical hands.
HOLLY - *exaggerated yawn* Oh my! I'm suddenly so tired.
AIDEN - Is she . . . she's not really gonna go for that old gag, is she?
HOLLY - *streeeeetch*
AIDEN - Holy plumbobs, she is.
HOLLY - *snerk* Gotcha.
AIDEN - Yeah . . . you really do.
ZOMG, stahp that. You're not supposed to make me get attached, cut it out with the cuteness.
STAAAAAAHP!
For my own feels, Holly goes for the First Kiss to get this thing moving along. Despite his overly-shocked-face, Aiden was quite receptive to that too.
Holly's still feeling confident from making breakfast that morning, so she got the option for a Suave Kiss. I lol'd.
And when it came time to suggest things move upstairs, Aiden was all for that scenario.
So that's what they did. Much tumbling beneath the sheets was had by all.
Also, you'll notice her new pj's. She has both of them in her options now, and apparently it just randomly selects which one to put them in unless you manually change outfit. It can even change from when they go to bed to when they get up in the morning. One night she went to bed in the teddy, woke up in the nightgown.
Bug or working as intended? O_o
But enough of that, on to the important question. Like is she preggers!
Apparently Aiden wanted to share this moment with her, since he followed her right into the bathroom and watched. O_o
Toilet confetti! (Official) Baby #2 is on the way!
Holly Shared the Big News with Aiden, and he did this! What?! You just killed all the good cute-vibes I had for you, dood. Not cool.
HOLLY - *sniffle* He was supposed to be happy for me.
Aww bb. Don't you sweat it, we got what we needed. Just go on back home and be with your other babies.
And you! Stop smiling, jerkface. -_- I will kill you with fire.
I and Holly were sure things could only go up from here. And then, the bills came. All EIGHT THOUSAND and SEVENTY THREE of them. O_O Holy nuggets.
Uh . . . I might have to up the reward amount for each YA child to 10,000 instead of 5 . . . .
Freshly in the poor house, what will our baby-mama do next? Join us agan for the next installment to find out and until then, happy simming!
*HYPERVENTILATING FLAILING ARMS*
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! This update was my favorite for completely unbiased reasons ;)
Ok, first off, Joanna....stop stalking Holly. Hahaha. For reals, though, our simmies just always seem to end up besties and I luff it <3 And, for real, Ollie hitting her up...TOO cute for words. He's adorable!
Speaking of adorable, BC aged up so cute! Way to be an awesome donor, Don!
Second, Aiden and Holly were soooo adorable together!!! Until, that is, he lost it over the bb announcement :( Meanie. I still love him though. But grrrr....
Oh Pierre...why did you have to leave us so soon?! Hahaha...just kidding, stay away. You were creepy.
I cannot wait to see Holly & Aiden's bb(s)!! Fantastic update :)
You're almost making me want this game. And I can't afford it. T.T
